Legacies
NCT services are invaluable to so many women and their partners. The opportunity to meet other parents and have access to a wide range of information can be a lifeline. A legacy in your will to the NCT could extend that lifeline to even more parents and parents-to-be in the future.
Making a will helps you to ensure that your wishes are followed after your death, and that your estate goes to the people and causes that you want to benefit.
Types of legacy
The following are the most common types of legacy that people make to charities:
- Residuary legacy, where a proportion of the estate after all other bequests and debts have been paid are donated to the charity.
- Pecuniary legacy, where a gift for a set sum is made to the charity
We recommend that you get advice from a solicitor before deciding on how to remember the NCT in your will. Please remember that it is important to get the wording right in your will to ensure that your wishes are met.
