Course prices without membership

How your membership fee helps the NCT

Most people prefer to become a member of the NCT when they book their course so prices stated include a £39 membership fee. Your membership makes it easier for you to access our support network run by local parents who host family events and produce newsletters packed with valuable local information. As part of your membership you also receive newgen, our membership magazine, and regular e-newsletters featuring evidence-based articles on pregnancy, birth and early parenting.

Members help support the work of the charity, and your membership fee will help us fund our wider work, which includes developing information resources for parents and lobbying for improvements in maternity services. Membership fees also enable us to train more people to become antenatal teachers, postnatal leaders and breastfeeding counsellors and so help us to make a difference for all parents.

If you are normally eligible for free prescriptions (other than for medical reasons) you are welcome to become a member for any amount you choose to pay, from a minimum of £1

The price you pay for your course covers only the cost of running the course. It does not cover the cost of training more teachers, counsellors or leaders.

All NCT services are open to you whether you are a member or not but we would very much like you to join and become part of the big team that help make this charity what it is. The 75p a week you contribute in this way will help us make a difference for parents.

Antenatal courses without membership

We have a range of courses available from our standard eight-week course for couples to short courses and women-only groups. Please speak to your booking administrator to find out what’s available in your area.

The prices below start from intensive courses and include membership of the NCT. Other courses vary in price.

Antenatal (standard to intensive)

  • Band A: £90-135
  • Band B: £120-180
  • Band C: £160-240

Antenatal Refresher

  • Band A: £50-85
  • Band B: £70-110
  • Band C: £85-150

Early Days (Postnatal) courses without membership

  • Band A: £60
  • Band B: £80
  • Band C: £100

Breastfeeding courses without membership

  • Band A: £50
  • Band B: £70
  • Band C: £90

Antenatal to Early Days (Perinatal) courses without membership

  • Band A: £175
  • Band B: £230
  • Band C: £300
