Maternity services
NCT has polices and evidence-based information on:
• Antenatal care
• Midwifery care,
• Normal birth
• Choice of place of birth, including a report on the extent of choice

• Reconfigurations of maternity services
Briefings and reports on a range of pregnancy and birth topics provides NCT policy and related evidence on home birth, midwife-led units and mode of birth, while baby feeding topics include briefings on the WHO Code, benefits of breastfeeding and formula feeding. Policy and evidence materials on public health, access and diversity issues include NCT policy on domestic abuse.
A number of shorter position statements are also available, as well as NCT's reviews of evidence, first published in NCT’s quarterly continuing professional development journal New Digest.
